ABOUT RUTH MARAMIS
Ruth is an Indonesian-born screenwriter/producer/film critic based in the Twin Cities. A web designer by trade, she graduated from St. Cloud State University with a BA in Mass Communications and a Graphic Design minor. She has been running FlixChatter.net film blog for over a decade and is a Rotten-Tomatoes-approved critic, as well as a member of the Cherry Picks and The Online Association of Female Film Critics (OAFFC). As a huge fan of Jane Austen, she is also a member of the Minnesota Chapter of JASNA (Jane Austen Society of North America) Since venturing into indie filmmaking in the past decade, she has written and produced the award-winning romantic drama short ‘Hearts Want’ which remains her passion project.
