Independent Film Critics of America Announce Nominees for the 2025 IFCA Awards
“Dune: Part Two” Leads with 12 Nominations
February 26, 2025 – Los Angeles, CA – The Independent Film Critics of America (IFCA) proudly unveiled the nominees for the 2025 IFCA Awards, celebrating the year’s finest achievements in cinema. Each year, IFCA members gather to honor excellence across a diverse range of categories, from Motion Picture and Acting to Technical and Inspirational achievements.
This year’s nominees reflect a vibrant mix of blockbuster hits, independent gems, and groundbreaking performances. Leading the pack is “Dune: Part Two,” which secured an impressive 12 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Blockbuster Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Ensemble, and multiple technical categories like Best Visual Effects and Best Cinematography. Hot on its heels, “The Brutalist” and “The Substance” also earned multiple nominations, with nods in prestigious categories such as Best Picture, Best Screenplay, and Best Editing. “Wicked” followed with nominations, including Best Blockbuster Picture, Best Ensemble, and Best Costume Design.
The 2025 IFCA Awards also spotlight unique categories like the Inspiratus Awards, honoring films and performances deemed truly inspirational and timeless.
