Incredibly excited to announce that Director David Hackl (SAW V, Netflix’s V-Wars) will be joining The Independent Film critics of America as our incoming 2023 “Filmmaker In Residence”
David Hackl has been been working in Hollywood for over 25 years, and has worked with such talent as Richard Dreyfuss, Mel Gibson, John Travolta, Billy Bob Thornton, Sharon Stone, Kate Bosworth, and Jim Caviezel among many others.
He is perhaps best known for his association with the SAW franchise, which saw him work on SAW II, III, IV, V, VI, and SAW 3D. He also served as the executive producer for the Netflix original series “V-Wars”
